Silicone Modifications

Silicone holds fine detail better than any other doll material, so the modification list for a silicone doll is the longest one you'll meet. Paint sits crisply, hairs can be implanted one at a time, and internal textures come out of the mould sharply defined.

Most of the modifications below are free on most brands. What varies is availability: several of them depend on which head type you've chosen, and a few are offered by only a handful of factories.

Every modification here is permanent. Pigment goes into the silicone at casting, paint goes on at post-processing, hairs are implanted by hand, and textures are built into the mould. None of it can be changed after production, so it's worth reading before you commit.
